| About | Delores H. Pederson Born to Eternal Life August 3, 2005. Resident of West Bend, formerly of Milwaukee. Delores was born April 9, 1913 in Superior, Wisconsin, the only child of Henry and Clara (nee Schmidt) Pederson. In Superior, she attended grade school and graduated from East High School and in 1935 from Superior State Teacher's College. Upon receiving her teaching degree, she taught school in Elbow Lake, Minnesota and Nekoosa and Monroe, Wisconsin before taking a position with the Milwaukee Public School System. She taught history at South Division High School and later served as a guidance counselor. She retired from South Division in 1980 after devoting 44 years to education. Her education continued over the years at Marquette University from which she had received her Master of Arts Degree in Education and Counseling in 1948. Delores was a member of Lake Park Lutheran Church, AAUW, Delta Kappa Gamma, Eastern Star-Faith Chapter and the Milwaukee Retired Teachers Association. She is survived in the Milwaukee area by cousins, Carol (Richard) Kieckhafer of Sheboygan Falls and Marilyn (Richard) Gust of West Bend. Further survivors include several cousins and numerous friends, including Rita Adams and Dorothy Larsen. Her request was that memorials be made to Lake Park Lutheran Church or the scholarship funds at UW - Superior or AAUW-Milwaukee branch. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2005 at 11:00AM at Lake Park Lutheran Church, 2647 N. Stowell Ave., with Rev. Jennifer Thomas officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Inurnment Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, WI on August 27.
