| About Me | I, my students, and scientific colleagues recently discovered a way to stop sickle cell disease (SCD) and malaria. Since SCD is a genetic disease, we call this treatment a "phenotypic cure" (no gene therapy, non-invasive, inexpensive); and for malaria, an infectious disease, the treatment is preventative. This work recently received grant support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. This work is done by The Sickle Cell Cure Foundation, Inc. a 501(c)(3) nonprofit research foundation based in Oklahoma City. Our website is http://sicklecellcurefoundation.org.
