| About Me | I moved to Maryland in 1970 for college, then left for Cocoa Beach, Florida after about 2 years. I was a department manager for Iveys on Merritt Island for a while and then moved back to South Charleston, WV intending to go back to college. Life intervened and I met Norman Bostic (class of 1968), moved to Houston, TX, got married, had two kids and was a homemaker until Norman was murdered in 1990 and I became a single parent. I since have worked in retail management, the staffing industry, a doctor's office, and most recently as a purchasing agent for a company that made laser shooting simulators for military and law enforcement. I was laid off almost two years ago (don't get me started on what the Obama administration has done to military, law enforcement and homeland security budgets) and am currently job hunting. During all those years I learned to surf (in Florida), shoot ( I prefer handguns to long arms), performed socialization training for police K-9's ( I LOVE dogs), worked with a K-9 Search and Rescue team in Fort Bend county, and I now am working with a Trap, Neuter, Release group for feral cats (to cut down on the feral cat population which is large in this part of Texas). I also, of course, have raised my kids. Jeremy is a police officer in Rosenberg, TX and is training as a helicopter pilot and is expecting his first child in a few weeks ( my first granddaughter); and he has a stepson who is almost 5 years old. Jeremy loves re-doing classic cars and motorcycles and has a Harley that he rides as much as Houston area weather permits. He also enjoys everything Lego!
