About Sean A. James, 35, of St. Albans, formerly of Dunbar, passed away May 8, 2017 at his home.

He was born July 8, 1981 in Charleston, the son of Bill and Pam James.

Sean was a 2000 graduate of South Charleston High School.

Sean spent his working career as a parts manager and parts advisor at various automobile dealerships.

All who knew Sean knew his love for the WVU Mountaineers, Cincinnati Reds, and Oakland Raiders. He loved nothing better than a good debate over a game. His loving smile was contagious and his love for a good time was shared by many. Sean was a very loving, hugging, caring person who loved his friends and family.

Sean was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Coleman, Lonnie and Phala James, Ray and Wanda Cook, Vesta and Nathaniel Coleman, and Mabel and Dale Winter; his aunt, Sandy Coleman; and his uncle, Tom Cook.

He is survived by his parents, Bill James (Peggy Linville) of St. Albans and Pam James (Butch Thomas) of Dunbar; daughter, Lexi James of South Charleston, brother, Billy James (Heather Deweese) of St. Albans; sisters, Tracy Powell (Richard) of Ohio and Melissa Glover (David) of Clarksburg; granny, Evelyn Coleman of Dunbar; aunts, Penny Wilson (Darryl) of Dunbar and Claudia Jackson of St. Albans; nieces, Johnna Grace James, Mary Katherine Leutz, Claire Leutz and Lauren Powell; nephews, Will James, Thomas Riffle and Jerry Riffle; and many cousins that he loved and loved spending time with; his companion, Dian Kay; and his many, many friends.
