About Me	After earning a bachelor's degree in journalism from University of Alabama, went on to work at various Alabama newspapers and magazines. After my middle child, Sarah, was diagnosed with leukemia at age 4 in 2004, I started a nonprofit foundation aimed at assessing the scope and possible environmental causes of high rates of rare cancer and neurological diseases on the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay, where I live.
