Dear Fellow Sonora High 1979 Classmates,

Our 40th is coming. While it may seem as bad as Winter, I am excited for our Reunion this summer. Just think, I will reminisce with old friends, and see (or at least talk about) others that may not have been. And in the end, have a much better time than I would have anticipated.

A month from now, on Saturday August 24th, we will be gathering at a fun restaurant in Fullerton. A very small group (thank you Gina and Carmela) has planned a fun and low key evening. I will thank them in advance for getting us together, after 10 years for some and maybe 40 for others.

Sonora wasn’t so much a place I remember, but it is the classmates. Our ’79 classmates helped shape who we are and it is great to celebrate that one more time. Remember some of the highlights of our 4 years together: The 60s themed Spirit Day, the toilet papering and spare tires, the football games and dances, and our favorite teachers.

And now we have new lives, and the few of you I have talked to in the last year have all lead interesting paths in careers, with kids and have found success in one way or another.

Sign up for the reunion TODAY, so you can find out who is (still) talking about you behind your back. Reach out to friends, invite another classmate. Come out for this once a decade event.

The more classmates attending, the better the Reunion will be. The committee has a great night planned. Thank you to those who have paid. And for those that have RSVP’d, please pay for the night.

As for the rest of you, decide NOW to come to the reunion. Will it be awkward, YES, but at the end of it all, it will have been fun and worth it.

Go to paypal.com (yes, you might need to open a paypal acct)
Select "send money"
Enter this email: sonoraclassof79@gmail.com then choose 'next'.
Select 'sending to a friend' (this eliminates any processing fees for sender/recipient)
Enter amt. ($70 per person)
In notes, please leave your name and name of 'spouse' 'significant other' 'date', etc.....
