About | OCTOBER 11, 1962 – NOVEMBER 30, 2021 odney W. "Rod' Stafford, age 59 of Somerset, passed away on November 30, 2021 in RI Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Lisa K. (Dubrawski) Stafford to whom he had been married for 32 years. Born in Alexandria, VA the son of Patricia G. (Franke) Stafford of Hampstead, NC and the late Robert H. Stafford Jr. Rod spent most of his life in Somerset and was a 1980 graduate of Somerset High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maine at Orono. He was often noted to family and friends as the Mayor of Somerset. Rod was the Founder & President of Bottom- Line Logistics, a company he owned and operated in Fall River for the past 20 years. Prior to that he had been a Senior Sales Representative with Roadway Express for 16 years. Through Rod’s success in business, he was awarded the coveted Ring of Honor which designated him as the top producer among many other accolades. This foundation and training provided the platform to start his own company. Rod was a longtime season ticket holder of the New England Patriots and once said “he would rather lose his company than his front row Patriots tickets”. Rod was very generous and shared his premier tickets with friends and clients. He also was a loyal fan to all of the New England sports teams. Known as "Coach Rod” to many of his children's friends, Rod enjoyed coaching his son’s sports teams especially baseball where his son Chase is a top college pitcher. He could not have been more proud to watch his success. In addition, he was so proud of his son Cole’s success at FedEx, that he brought Cole on as a partner at Bottom-Line, who will now lead the company. He was equally proud of his daughter Kacie, who was unequivocally his greatest supporter, and is currently working as a registered nurse in California. He was passionate about attending all of his children's activities letting them know he was their biggest fan. Rod especially loved the sport of golf and was known on the course as “the Big Lefty”. In addition his wife and mother, Rod is survived by three children Kacie L. Stafford, Cole S. Stafford and Chase F. Stafford all of Somerset; two brothers Robert H. Stafford III of Greenwich, CT and Richard T. Stafford and his wife Lindsay of Greenwich, CT; a sister Cynthia S. Cannuscio and her husband Aubrey of Westford, MA ; a mother in-law Christine Monahan; father in-law Francis Dubrawski; a sister in-law Kim Cogswell and nieces and nephews Tucker, Taylor, Todd, Bo, Lexi, Cameron and Ryan Stafford, Caitlin, Sara and Derek Cannuscio and Katrina Cogswell. |
