About	Joseph M. Rodrigues, 51, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in the Miriam Hospital, Providence. Born in Norwood, MA, he was the son of Jose C. Rodrigues and the late Arinda R. (de Sousa) Rodrigues. Joe was raised in Somerset, MA and resided in Smithfield for 12 years, previously residing in North Smithfield. He was a graduate of Somerset High School Class of 1988 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He was an avid boater and motorcycle and car enthusiast. He was employed as a senior manufacturing engineer by Paragon Medical, formerly MW Life Sciences of Mansfield, MA, since May of this year and he was previously employed by the Hilco Vision Co., for 2 years and formerly employed as the managing engineer at Honeywell Industries, formerly North Safety for over 20 years. Joe holds 5 patents for engineering and manufacturing technology. He is survived by his two sons; Jacob J. Rodrigues and Joshua J. Rodrigues both of North Smithfield. He was formerly the husband of Joanne Rodrigues also of North Smithfield. He also leaves his brother Mario S. Rodrigues and his wife Michelle M. Rodrigues (Lapointe) of Cumberland along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was also the loving partner of eight years of Kristen Dermooshegian of Douglas, MA. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
