About Constance Lacroix Farley of South Yarmouth passed away on October 7, 2018 at the age of 82. Connie was born at home to

the late Edouard and Alice Lacroix in Fall River, MA. She attended elementary and high school in Fall River and graduated from Jesus-Mary Academy in 1953. She graduated from Emmanuel College in Boston in 1957 and continued her education at Boston College (1963) and Worcester State College (1988) where she received her Master’s Degree in Education.

Connie was a school teacher at Somerset High School and Sandwich High School for most of her professional career, where she taught business and related subjects. Additionally, she held many different careers throughout her life including a clerk at a card shop, bank teller, staff associate at Adult Re-Entry Center at Cape Cod Community College, proof reader and editor for Cape Cod Community Newspapers and the Zephyr Newspaper. Connie was also a member of the Cursillo Movement of Fall River, an Advocate of Twelve Step Groups, a Communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville and an active member of the Unity Church of the Light in Hyannis.

Connie was passionate about enneagrams and conducted many seminars to impart her wisdom and understanding of the craft. From the early age of seven until very recently, she was a concert pianist and harpist.

She was married to Francis Farley from 1961-1992, moving to Cape Cod in 1975 to raise their family. From 1998 until her passing she spent her days with her partner, Drew Krauss of South Yarmouth.

She was predeceased by her brother Edouard Lacroix Jr. and her son David Farley. She is survived by her partner, Drew Krauss, her sisters, Jeanne Ballard of Norfolk, VA, Madeleine Morris of Westerville, Ohio, and Elaine Killian of Meredith, New Hampshire, as well as her children, Marie Kerr (John) of South Berwick, ME, Michael Farley (Marytheresa) of Sandwich, MA, Anne Farley-Poyant (Donald) of Orleans, MA, Joseph Farley (Sylvia Chen) of Deerfield, IL, and Kathleen Nourse (Peter) of North Conway, NH. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Patrick Farley, Eric Poyant, Jessica Chen, Meghan Kerr, Jeremy Poyant, Margaret Farley, Alexander Chen, Amy Poyant, Michelle Chen, Jasmyn Kerr, Charlotte Nourse, and Daniel Nourse, as well as twenty nieces and nephews.
