About	Michael P. Mulrooney, 62, of Somerset, MA, passed away on October 16, 2017 at the Hope Hospice McCarthy Care Center in E. Sandwich, MA. He was born in Fall River, MA, a son of the late Francis P. Mulrooney and the late Vivianne (Guimond) Cummings. Michael was a graduate of UMass Dartmouth (formerly Southeastern Massachusetts University), and then enjoyed a successful career in the textile and chemical industries. One of his passions was the renovation of Victorian homes. Michael purchased and renovated five homes during his lifetime. Michael also loved antique and classic cars, especially from the 50s and 60s. Most of his favorites were convertibles. Michael lost his battle with cancer after nearly nine years, always maintaining a positive attitude throughout his struggles. During that time, he continued to demonstrate his compassion for others, while working as a personal care assistant with the elderly and disabled. He is survived by his sister, Francine P. Ferreira of Dighton, MA, and his brother, Christopher P. Mulrooney (wife, Laure), of Tallahassee, FL. He also leaves a nephew, Charles F. Ferreira, III, and three nieces, Charline L. (Ferreira) King, Erin Rose Mulrooney, and Katie Joyce Mulrooney.
