| About Me | Well, I am now a happy 68 years old grandma of two clever little girls, Helena and Julia who instigate me to stay young and enthusiastic about life. I am quite happy about what I have accomplished both professionally and personally. I believe I have done a good job on raising my son Eduardo (now a 41 year old successful judge) and my daughter Marina (now a lawyer and mother of my two granddaughters. I am grateful to the Lord and to all the right people He has allowed me to meet who helped me become the rational, but yet optimistic adult I believe I am. I am grateful to the AFS for having granted me the scholarship to the US and grateful to Somers High for having accepted me. To the Rieger’s family for having hosted me and to the unforgettable friends I have made at school. I remember all of you, even those who yell at me on the halls: hey, here comes Bell, the dyng-a-ling. or: “ Hi, Brazil’s nuts. But there are some who were closer to me: Classmates: Janice Werhman, Candice Stebbins, Lorelei Heinze, Kathy Gorr, BJ, Irene Peterson, Linda Pegoli, Eileen O, Connor,Jane Moravick, Peggy Licenziato, Rosey Glaser, Michelle Lacey, Dawn Brunet, Donna Caruso, Lyn Wiley. Each of these girls have touched my heart in some way. Smiles, nice words who made me feel at home, instructions about school subjects, gifts. As to the boys, the closer ones were Fred Van Der Meulen, Rocco Agostino, David Lester, Eddie Kevins,Gary Smith, Peter Panos. Not closer, Derek Evans, Peter Kolak, Mark McDonald, Bob Herzberg, Tony Catania, John Halk, Mark McDonald Not seniors: David Nuccio, Paul and Greg Bidanzit, Paul Westfield, Mary and Susan Rieger, Gail Smith, Liza Volmar, Terry Lonergan, Karen Baines, Nancy Bellusci, Diane Sweeny, Candice Di Stefano, Colleen O’ Connor. I might have forgotten some friends. I also remember Dr. Nuccio and Mr. Ames, respectively from Humanities and Chorus. Mrs Flood, the teacher of Spanish and Miss Licursi. Also Mrs Tuttle, Mrs Green....Nice teachers Last, but not least, I want to mention I have been married to the same boy friend I left in Brazil waiting for me, while I was at Somers High School.
