I'm so sorry to learn of Mark's passing. I knew Mark from the early elementary grades at Solon Road School on until I believe his family moved away (Texas or California?), around 8th grade. I think his dad, George, worked in the petroleum industry for Standard Oil. Some of those early years his very friendly and outgoing mom, Clara(belle), worked at the lunch hour selling creamsicles and ice cream sandwiches. We had some good times and laughs together over the years, including at his house in Briar Hill (Briarwood Lane?). RIP old friend!

Thank you for your kind thoughts Dave. The Lupfer family moved to California in 1965 after George found work there. Mark started 8th grade in California and I started 10th grade. My mother, Clarabell, worked at the lunch hour in the cafeteria for several years. We lived on Briarwood Lane while we were in Solon. Mark never went to High School in Solon; I attended ninth grade.
