| About Me | I have been married for 37 years to my best friend, and my favorite occupation is being a mother. I graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing. I worked for Primary Children's Hospital before and after graduation. I later worked for the SLCC Health Department as an Infant Development Specialist and in all health clinics. After starting my family I worked in psychiatric nursing with teens and adults as Charge Nurse at the Western Institute of Neuropsychiatry, (then associated with the U of U) and also as a home health nurse for IHC. I moved to southern Utah to raise my family, where my husband worked as an attorney. I homeschooled my children for the most part, up through middle school. We are a musical family and have performed in Nauvoo in the Nauvoo Pageant band where we served for years as directors of the Pageant Pre-show/ country fair. Our family also performed in many local events through the years. All our kids play piano and a string instrument. I joined them to play the upright bass and we have enjoyed performing fiddling music together. I worked with my husband as the COO in our start up business in residential treatment for adopted teen girls with RAD. We are building a large campus in Cedar City, Utah called Havenwood Academy.
