Burt A. Jordan, 68, a loving father and grandpa, passed away in his home in Mottville on April 22, 2025. Born on June 5, 1956, in Syracuse, Burt grew up in Mottville and graduated from Skaneateles High School.
After graduation, he began his career as a machinist, dedicating 30 plus years before retiring from Goulds Pump in Seneca Falls. He then spent the next several years maintaining the grounds of Lake View Cemetery in Skaneateles.
Burt loved hockey, playing Defense for the Syracuse Jr. Blazers. He later continued his passion with coaching and cheering on his son - always sitting/standing opposite from the crowd so he could yell loudly. Burt raced dirt bikes and enjoyed snowmobiling. He enjoyed “toys” and tinkering in the garage.
He never said no when asked to use his garage or help fix something. He also enjoyed the family trait of hunting for many years. Burt was a simple man, proud and stubborn. To know him was to love him.
Burt is survived by his heartbroken children, Jessica (Jordan) Giangreco (Kevin) and Gregory Jordan (Kerry); his grandchildren, Aurora and Miller Giangreco; and his sister, Nancy Carmody (daughter Erin).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Bob” and Barbara “BJ” Jordan; his siblings, Dorothy “Dotty” Jordan and Robert “Bruce” Jordan.
