About	Eleanor J. Hyatt, 80, of Eagle Bay, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Sunset Nursing Home in Boonville. She was born in Marcellus and lived her early years in Skaneateles. She graduated from Skaneateles High School in 1946, earned her BA and MA at Cortland State College, and her pre-doctorate at Springfield College, MA. She resided in Minoa, where she was a teacher, and in East Syracuse, where she became an administrator in the East Syracuse-Minoa Central School District until 1986. Following retirement she acted as part-time principal and superintendent of Raquette Lake Union Free School. Eleanor was predeceased by her father and mother, Coach Arthur and Dorothy Turner Hyatt of Skaneateles; a brother, Charles, a Navy commander; and a niece, Terilynn. She is survived by her longtime friend and companion, Betty Reese of Eagle Bay; a brother, John (Nancy) of Skaneateles; nieces, Jennifer Hyatt of Arlington, VT, Tamela Hyatt of Arizona, and Tracy Westby (Terry) of Kansas; and nephews, Arthur (Elisebette) of Skaneateles with their sons John and Will, and Tim Hyatt of Texas. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 7, at Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 128 Fern Ave, Old Forge. Calling hour will be 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service.
