Frederick P. Schreader 83, of Skaneateles passed away on Monday, September 30 th at Auburn Community Hospital with his brother Ted by his side.
Fred was born at Auburn Memorial Hospital on September 27, 1941. Parents of Paul William and Marian Biggs Schreader. He grew up and lived his life in Skaneateles, New York. After graduating from Skaneateles Central Schools, he attended Auburn Community College then counting his schooling at Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s Degree.
Fred went onto working many years at Witherills Warehouse in Camillus as the Men’s Ware Store Manager. Fred was also a member of St. James’ Episcopal Church in Skaneateles.
He is predeceased by his parents and step-mother Barbara Hight. Survived by his brother Theodore Schreader, Dorothy Visalia and a very good friend David (Janet) Quinn.
Calling hour will be held on Monday, October 7th from 10 to 11 am with a service to follow at 11:15 am at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles, with burial in Lake View Cemetery. Donations in Fred’s name can be made to SAVES.
