Ronald O. Chappell, 80, of Skaneateles, died Sunday, April 20, 2014. A native of Skaneateles, he had been manager of Empire Hardware in Auburn and had worked for the former A S Wikstrom Construction Company as a field manager for many years. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Skaneateles, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and member of the Robert J. Hydon American Legion Post 239 in Skaneateles.
Surviving are his wife D. JoAnn Chappell, a son John Matthew Chappell (Judy Wellington) of Auburn and daughter Leslie Louise Chappell (Tom Murray) of Downington, PA.
Services: Friday, April 25, at St. James Episcopal Church. Burial was in Lake View Cemetery, Skaneateles. Contributions may be made to St. James Episcopal Church. To send condolences visit robertdgrayfuneralhome.com.
