| About | With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Alexander (Lex) Hudson on December 13, 2023. He passed peacefully surrounded by his wife and family. Lex was a cherished husband, father, granddad, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be remembered by his loving wife of 44 years, Leslie, his children Matt (Jill), Tyler (Leanne), and Nick (Sara) and 6 grandchildren; his siblings, Edie, Barry, Jo-Anne, Joyce, and 7 nieces and nephews. Lex was predeceased by his parents, Norm Hudson, and Betty Hudson. Lex was born on December 31, 1955, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Growing up, he played junior hockey in Manitoba and then received a full scholarship to the University of Denver. There, he met the love of his life, Leslie. In 1975 Lex was drafted by the Pittsburg Penguins and played professional for 2 seasons. Lex returned to Denver in 1980 and started a business career with Boettcher as an OTC Trader. In 1987, Lex and Leslie moved to Brentwood, Tennessee. Lex worked for JC Bradford in Nashville and became a partner with the firm. Later, he started his own Home Inspection business, his son Matt will continue the family business. Many will remember Lex as a coach for a number of years with the Brentwood Civitan baseball. Lex, you will forever be loved and missed by your family and friends. Thank you for the great memories and your contagious sense of humor. Our family gatherings will feel empty without your priceless one liners. A special thanks to the staff at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for all their compassion and care during these difficult days. A celebration of life will be held on January 27, 2024, at Cledis Beer Garden & Burgers from 3-5pm. In lieu of flowers, on behalf of Lex, please donate to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. |
