About ROBERT (BRAD) BRADLEY TAYLOR

April 6, 1982 - July 7, 2025

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear Dad, husband, son, brother, and friend, Brad Taylor on July 7 at the age of 43 after a battle with Lymphoma.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amanda; his two amazing daughters, Emmary Karolina and Isla Audrey; his parents, Ian and Rosemary; Grandma Audrey in Thunder Bay; brothers, Mike and Kyle (Lennon, Cohen); Kyle’s partner Danielle; and her daughter (Ayanna); mother-in-Law Sonja Danylyshen; brother-in-Law Adam Danylyshen; sister-in-Law Katie (Charlotte, Penelope, Harvey); and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and his huge collection of friends from his amazing 43 years.

His soul joins his Grandpa and Grandma Taylor; and Puppa Jake who he’s probably fishing with now.

Brad was born in Winnipeg on April 6, 1982, the second son to Ian and Rosemary Taylor, he grew up in Garden Grove and attended Garden Grove School, Stanley Knowles, and Sisler High School. He always gave his parents a run for their money, a typical middle child. He was the glue that kept the brothers together and was always there for Mike and Kyle. Growing up Brad and his brothers fought constantly, but as they got older - became the closest of friends.

Best friends Lischka, Stenson, and Thalman were never far away, getting into as much trouble as teenagers could. Still friends to this day, and with him on his last day surrounding him with funny stories and laughs from their growing up together.

Brad played various sports from soccer, baseball, hockey, and football, and even dabbled in reffing hockey. He loved hockey so much, years later he coached both of his daughter’s hockey teams, lovingly referred to as “Coach Brad”.

Thunder Bay was the most special place to Brad, and where his grandma Audrey, who he had a special connection with, still lives. He and Amanda even named their second daughter Isla Audrey after her. Brad always had a close relationship with his cousin Scott, as well as his other Ontario cousins. Brad's Thunder Bay, B.C. and Winnipeg aunts and uncles, and cousins will always hold a special place in his heart.

Brad met Amanda while working at Sears Garden City when he was just 18, they dated for a few years and were married on September 22, 2007. A few years later they had their first daughter Emmary Karolina in 2011 and then, with the arrival of Isla Audrey in 2015, it was confirmed - Brad to be a ‘girl dad’ - something that he was born for.

He worked for SMS Equipment where he made many friends over the years. He loved his work and it took him to various places - including Fort Frances where he worked the most. He was so happy to be working in the mining division and he loved what he did. A big thank you to SMS Equipment for all the support they’ve been giving Brad and his girls during this difficult time.

The family would also like to thank the wonderful and caring Medical ICU Department of HSC, your thoughtfulness and guidance means more to us than you’ll ever know.

A celebration of Brad’s life will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Keith Bodley Arena, 165 Sansome Avenue. Please come and share a memory or a funny story of Brad which will for sure include a laugh. Please feel free to wear your favorite team jersey.

The family warmly invites friends and family and members of the community to share photos, personal messages and special memories of Brad on this page.

In response to the outpouring of heartfelt requests to send both financial and emotional support to Amanda, Emmary and Isla, a dedicated email has been created for them. taylorgirls2025@gmail.com E-transfers or gift cards can be sent directly to this email.
