He was predeceased by his father Michael Antony and will be sorrowfully missed by his mother Stella Antony. He is deeply missed by his daughters Carlye Antony, Christy Antony and grandchildren Caeden and Logan. Remaining to cherish his memory is his siblings and their family; Tim (Liz), Pauline (Jamie) and Barbara (Ron). Paul Joseph Antony was born on May 9th, 1957 in Winnipeg, MB. Introduced by his father as the 4th generation of Ukrainian immigrants and 1st born Ukrainian immigrant to his Mother. He often spent his childhood on the farms of his grandparents and huge Antony family that was honored for 100 years of farming in Canada. He grew up in Winnipeg with his siblings in a community where the neighborhood children played sports together outside, he often reminisced about hockey games. His love for fishing started in childhood fishing with his father in Lockport and his grandfather on the Assiniboine river in lake of the prairies. Paul loved fishing so much that on his sister Barbara’s 16th birthday he took her fishing to Lockport. Paul's earliest memories of golfing where with his father in Manitoba and he continued to enjoy golf throughout his life with his daughters and grandchildren. His love for food raised by his mother's cooking and Ukrainian family food. His career path as a young father in 1985 took him to earn a Title as a Heavy Duty Machine Mechanic to support his family. He was a hardworking, smart and loving father devoted to providing a beautiful life. He purchased his families first house in the safe community of Southdale, his children often reflect on the incredible life he built for them. He planted trees with his girls around the house in the summer, built snowmen in the winter. Paul brought the girls up with sports like figure skating, soccer and baseball in which he attended every game. He was an invested father all their life teaching his daughters how to ride their first bike, and then later to ride a dirt bike he gifted them. He took them to nature every chance he could, to slide down natural waterfalls, camp beside the lakes in the summer, to visit wild buffalo and to every cultural event he wished to educate the girls in life experiences. He was always happy for others success. He was a giver and never expected anything in return. He started a company with his Antony cousins called MPD (Myles, Paul & Denis) excavation, landscape and snow clearing. The business evolved into one of Canada’s great environmental remediation companies, currently Weri.ca. Paul lived the last few decades loyal to the Antony family business his cousins continue to grow. He has been a father that his daughters could count on to be there. He was generously loyal to his family. Paul is loved so much. A memorial Service will be Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, MB. at 2pm. |
