About	NEIL GARY AVERY 21 Feb 1953 - 7 Feb 2025 Alumni Class of 1971 With heavy hearts, we announce that Neil Gary Avery tragically passed away on February 7, 2025, at 71 years of age while in Mexico. Neil, born February 21, 1953, is survived by his loving wife Josie, children, Kristin and Paul, brother Grant (Lynn), sister-in-law Debbie (Glen) and brother-in-law Marc as well as many nephews and nieces whom he absolutely adored. He was predeceased by his infant daughter Jenna Marie and his parents, Bill and Grace. Neil’s love for people made him an instant friend to all. He found great joy in refereeing hockey, playing baseball, and clipping coupons. We would like to thank the doctor, nurses, paramedics and lifeguard who were vacationing on the beach and came to Neil’s aid. A Celebration of Neil’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue. Cremation has taken place, and a private family burial will be held at a later date.
