About	FRANCES KAPITAN (nee GRAY) On March 12, 1990 at the Grace Hospital, Mrs.Frances Kapitan, aged 79 years, of Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 16 at 2:15 p.m. in the THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS, Broadway at Furby, Rev. H. H. Barber of Calvary Temple officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Mrs. Kapitan taught school in various areas of Manitoba but the last 15 years of her long career were spent at the Sisler High School in Winnipeg. After retiring from teaching, she owned and operated a guest home for several years. She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. A. Ginn, Medicine Hat, Alta., Mrs. M. Lang, Winnipeg and Mrs. T. Fanning, Vancouver, B.C. also numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kapitan was predeceased by her husband Claude in 1959; her brother Lloyd Gray in 1985 and her sister Mrs. Arla Gruenke in 1987. Flowers are gratefully declined, however, should friends so desire, contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg or the Diabetic Foundation of Manitoba, 509-700 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg. She was out guidance counselor about 1969. she was very nice to us all.
