About TEKLA EMILIA (TEENA) GUFFEI

On January 14, 2023, Teena passed away due to cancer.
Teena was born November 21, 1959 to Ukrainian mother Ann Chrusch and Polish father Nick Diaczynski.
Teena is survived by husband Romeo, daughter Anne (Bruce Lumsden), and by many family and friends who cared for Teena deeply.
As per Teena's wishes there will be no service.
Teena grew up in the North End, attended Aberdeen, Lansdown, Andrew Mynarski, Sisler and graduated from Daniel McIntrye in 1978.
After graduation, Teena took night and weekend courses at Red River College. Teena worked a variety of jobs, including terms with the Federal Government, and became a full time employee when the GST credit was introduced. Teena retired as an Administrative Assistant to a Director at age 59 after 29 years with the Federal Government.
Teena was very well liked at work. Whenever I met a co-worker, they would tell me how much Teena meant to them and the office. Teena loved to cook and bake goodies for her co-workers - her favourite being birthday cakes.
Teena had a passion for fitness. The last time she ran was the morning of her 62nd birthday, 5km. Her running group was preparing for a marathon. If she wasn't running, she was at the gym (Brickhouse) or working out at home.
Teena's hard work paid off. She was stunningly beautiful.
Please join Anne, Bruce and myself with a donation to the Assiniboine Park Conservatory. Teena loved to run in the park.
I would like to thank the people who cared for Teena: Dr. Avanoma, the staff at the Grace Hospital, Health Sciences Centre, St. Boniface Hospital, the Riverview Health Centre and the Palliative Care program.
I would like to thank Annie's friends and co-workers, and Bruce's family.
Please do not send flowers to my house.
And finally, I love you "Teen".
