About	Jacob Tristan Hughes was that special person who could make you feel better no matter what. He was always fun to be around because of his positive outlook on life and boundless energy. When people were in need, Jake was generous and went above and above to help them. He loved to work on anything, and if he was stuck, he would look it up on YouTube and give it a go. Jake attended Sisler High School and graduated in 2012. From March 2016 to the present, he worked at SRG Security Resources Group as an information security analyst. His employer is working on setting up a memorial bursary at Sisler High School in memory of Jacob and Riftyn. Jake enjoyed spending time playing video games with his loved ones and friends, often well into the night. With his boundless computer knowledge, he would construct them from the ground up. He enjoyed going to the gym, going on hikes, travelling, hunting, kayaking, watching anime, and spending time with his family and friends. He made such a wonderful impact on so many people with his contagious smile, big heart, and optimistic outlook. Jake was an exceptional and devoted father, partner, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Above all, he was a much-loved father who will be missed by everybody who knew him. His generosity, kindness and compassion will always serve as our compass in life. The day his son Riftyn was born was the day he cherished the most. He was an incredible dad, and Teagan will forever be lost. How she loved her “father and daughter” dates. He was a loving father, and as a dad he provided unwavering devotion, guidance, and love. Jake’s departure leaves such a void which can never be filled, but his spirit will live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He would want us all to celebrate the life he lived and the impact he had on the hearts of so many. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Eulogy prior to service at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church with Father Paul Tinguely officiating.
