About	WALTER OPALKO October 5, 1938 - September 4, 2024 A cherished member of the Winnipeg community, as a public-school teacher and member of Calvary Temple Church for many years, has passed away peacefully with messages of love and the music of God's grace in his ears. Passing away at the age of 85, he was predeceased by siblings, Jerry, Val, Wanda and Eddie and is survived by siblings, Trudy, Gary, Olga, Henry and Dorie, and a very large extended family, all of whom will remember him for his unwavering commitment to his faith and communities even as he moved west to BC. Those that knew him well, even after his retirement from teaching, understood his spirit and love for sharing his knowledge. A small memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in Victoria where he spent his final years living with family.
