About JUDITH DIANE OPITZ SILVER October 26, 1949 March 12, 2008 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Mum, Grammie and very best friend. After a short but brave battle with Leukemia, Mum passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Although she was taken far too soon, she used every moment possible to enrich the lives of others. She played a vital role in her community, serving 30 years on Seven Oaks School Board and in her workplace as Director of Human Resources. While she enjoyed the challenge of her work, she lived for her family. Mum was the keeper of our secrets, our pillar of strength and our greatest champion. We will dearly miss our Friday night ritual, her legendary Christmas pyjama breakfast and the special warmth of her hugs and smiles. Mum's memory will live on through her three daughters Saundra (Murray), Roberta (Ryan) and Adrienne; her grandchildren the chicklets Brody, Jordy and Rory, Ryden and Reghan; her mother Dorothy Opitz; brother and sisters Joan (Rob), Bobby (Kym) and Jackie (Derrick); nephews and nieces Mike, Monica the Friday Night Daughter , Kriston, Avery (Edgar), Kelly, Erin, Hailey, Nick and Mckay; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. We take comfort in knowing that Mum is now with her dad, Robert Opitz, and twin sisters. Thank you to those who showed care and compassion to Mum and our family during her stay in the ICU at Health Sciences Centre. A memorial service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 17 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honour of Mum to Cancer Care Manitoba. We'll love you forever, We'll like you for always, As long as we're living Our Mummy you'll be. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
