It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karolyn Michele Ryback (nee Pfeifer), age 55, in her sleep on February 27, 2023, after a long battle with cardiovascular issues.
Karolyn will be forever missed by her loving husband Emilio Guercio; her stepchildren Steven Guercio (Allison), Rob Guercio (Genvieve), Jamie Guercio (Anna); and her stepgrandchildren, Charlie, Jules, Georgia and Abbi; her nephew Dean Pfeifer (Teresa); great-nephew Rhys; great-nieces Tasia, Aubrey and Anastasia; and her close friends Victoria and Rick Preston; Sheila Jensen Eirickson; Mona Steen; and her loving dog Benjamin.
Karolyn was predeceased by her parents Harry and Ruth Pfeifer, and her son Brock.
Karolyn was born in Winnipeg Manitoba on September 4, 1967. Karolyn attended Sisler High School and after graduation embarked on a career in sales that eventually led her to become a Real Estate agent for the majority of her working life. As a Real Estate agent she was highly respected and successful, most recently with Royal LePage. Karolyn loved to travel especially to all-inclusive resorts in warm climates. She also loved to cook and donated her time and efforts in catering charitable events.
As she requested Karolyn was cremated, and a memorial service in her honour will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Coutu Funeral Home located at 680 Archibald Street.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
