About	BERNICE MAZUR (nee STEPANIUK) May 27, 1942 - November 6, 2011 It is with great sadness that Nicholas (Nick) Mazur and his two children, Nicole and Nicholas, announce the passing of Bernice Mazur. After a very long and courageous battle against cancer, Bernice peacefully passed to God on the morning of Sunday, November 6, 2011 in Calgary, AB. Bernice was born in the City of Winnipeg on May 27, 1942 to her proud parents Mary and Harry Stepaniuk. Bernice will be remembered for her openness to listen to others, her generosity of spirit and kindness. She never judged anyone and always found the goodness in all of us. Bernice was always available to offer a helping hand to others in need. A very special wife, mother, sister, baba and friend to many, she will remain in all of our hearts and be truly missed by all. Bernice is survived by Nick, her husband of 49 years; their two children, Nicole (Harris) and Nicholas; very special grandchildren, Ben and Cam Mazur; brother Morris; as well as son-in-law Fred Harris and his two children, Robert and Patrick. In memory and in celebration of Bernice's life, a Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cochrane, AB, on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. A family interment will be held. The family is very grateful for the services provided by the Agape Hospice and wish to thank all the staff that allowed Bernice to find peace during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in memory of Bernice be sent to The Salvation Army Agape Hospice, 1302 - 8 Ave. NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1B8.
