About	DONNA COUTU (nee WOWK) Farewell and thank you, Donna Coutu, beloved to us and so many. Born on May 24 in the spring of 1941, the Lord called you back on a snowy winter day, Tuesday, February 20 at 6:28 a.m. from St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. Your fierce strength overcame staggering hardships to become the tour de force of humanness, luck, faith, sparkle, and magnetism we will always remember with a warm chuckle. Your superpower was your irresistible charisma, against which we had no defense. Ask anyone who has ever met you. You lived a double-shift life, loving us with countless perogies, and how to express your 40 years of service as a nurse? Your heart for your patients changed lives. Your power to charm also extended to the bingo hall, the race track and many a poker table. Thoroughly Catholic and perfectly human, you spent your later years visiting us all over the continent. Weeding the garden with Maria, crosswords with Michie, playing endlessly with Phil's children, and comforting us all with holupsti, borscht, spaghetti and your world-famous pork chops. You spent long hours with us watching Nadal dominate the world's tennis courts. These moments are tender to us. To the nurses and doctors at St. Boniface Hospital during Donna's last days; thank you for your excellent care. Her love came full circle. Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018 in Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 115 McGregor Street celebrated by Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat Michael Buyachok. A reception in the hall to follow, and interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 24 at All Saints Cemetery, 4515 Main St. E.J. COUTU & CO.
