About	MARTIN PAUL OPITZ February 10, 1961 - January 26, 2021 It is with the very heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of a precious son, brother, uncle and friend, Martin Paul Opitz. After a courageous battle with terminal cancer, the Lord Jesus Christ called Martin home in the 59th year of his time here on earth to be with Him in His eternal presence. Martin leaves to mourn his loving mother, Sylvia; his brothers, Brian and Wayne, and Wayne's wife Teresa; his little sister Sherilynn; his nieces, Kyla, Jadyn and Peyton; his nephews Jordan and Dylan; as well as countless others who he has touched with his godly conviction and love. He was predeceased by his father, Marty Sr., and brother-in-law Rick Friesen. While his passing was both sudden and heart wrenching for all, we are left assured by his life, words, legacy and, most importantly, God's Word and Spirit, that his faith has carried him home to his ultimate destiny. Martin wanted us all to know this and to be affirmed in the belief that "to live be Christ and to die is gain." (Philippians 1: 22). Martin demonstrated this faith right to the end and his hope for everyone was that all would come to a knowledge of Christ. This truly best describes Martin and his godly purpose here on earth.
