About LUBOMIR BULKA November 29, 1956 - February 5, 2006 It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Lubomir on February 5, 2006. It is with grace and dignity that Lubomir fought a courageous battle with cancer. Being totally at peace with his family at his side, he gently left us and now begins his greatest journey. The gift of Lubomir's caring, gentle, spiritual soul has been called back home to God. Lubomir will be forever remembered and sadly missed by his mother Eugenia Bulka; brother Zenon Bulka; nephews, Paul and Zevin Bulka and their mother Linda Bulka. Lubomir was born in Ukraine. He was predeceased by his father Michael Bulka in March 1992, and his aunt Olga also in February 1992. He will be sadly missed by Auntie Katherine, Uncle Paul, Eugenia and numerous family members all of Ukraine. With his spirit and incredible strength, Lubomir left us many gifts. He leaves a legacy of a caring, gentle, loving son, brother and uncle who instilled the values of love, strength and compassion. He was the older brother who admired, respected and loved his younger brother, a son who loved and helped his mother, a friend who was always there, an uncle who had a special bond with each of his nephews. He was an engineer who touched many lives with his wonderful sense of humour and compassion, and a colleague who brought laughter, joy and life to his workplace. Lubomir took great pride and was very dedicated and passionate as an engineer with PFRA (Government of Canada). We will keep Lubomir in our hearts, and he will live on in our memories forever. Thank you to Lubomir's friends for their unwavering love and support during this difficult time. Thank you to all the nursing staff, especially Denise at the Assiniboine Centre. Thank you to Ken and Cindy for their continuous love, care and dedication to their friend Lubomir. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 10, also at the Cathedral with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat M. Buyachok and Fr. M. Kouts officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Bulka, Wade Podaima, Ken Shold, Peter Gojan, Vasyl Gojan and Alexander Kouts.
