About	With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Brian Joseph Vanderlip at the age of 69 at the St. Boniface Hospital on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018. Brian is survived by his beloved partner Beverly; sister Mary; brothers George (Darlene), David and Gregory; brothers-in-law, Bruce, Lindsay and Ron Penner. He will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and many friends. His pets, Lucky, Kali, Lucie and Minnie are missing him terribly. Brian was predeceased by his father George, mother Lily, brothers John and Dennis; nephews Jason and Clayton; father-in-law Isaac and mother-in-law Helen. Brian grew up in the North End of Winnipeg. After graduating high school, he had various jobs. He worked many years at Eatons and several years at Sobeys Cash and Carry, retiring in 2015. Brian met Beverly Penner in 1994 and enjoyed 24 wonderful years together. Brian was an avid sports fan, especially the Blue Bombers, Goldeyes and the Winnipeg Jets and was happy to at least see them make it to the playoffs. Brian and Bev enjoyed going to the Casino. Funeral service is to be held at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue at 1:00 p.m. on May 31. 2018 with interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Huge thanks are given to all the firefighters and Paramedics who worked so hard to do all they could for Brian. Also to the many staff at St. Boniface Hospital who provided support and comfort to Bev and Mary at this difficult time.
