About	With sadness we announce the passing of Lawrence Steven Preweda on May 16, 2017. He was born July 28th, 1948 at St.Joseph's hospital in Winnipeg to the late Stephen Preweda and Anne (Geron) Preweda. He is survived by his daughters Valerie and Veronica Preweda, their mother Barbra, and many cousins. Larry lived all his life in Winnipeg. He went to Isaac Newton and graduated from Sisler High School, attended the University of Manitoba and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. Larry had worked for the Hudson's Bay Oil and Gas (formerly Manitoba Mineral Resources Ltd). His career path changed and he became a bus driver for Winnipeg Transit, retiring in 2013. Larry also taught driver's education, and owned and operated Superior Driving Academy. Larry was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was most happy when he was fishing. He was honoured and awarded many times from Master Angler. He was also recognized for his multiple blood donations to the Canadian Blood Services (Manitoba Chapter). He enjoyed traveling, being outdoors, gardening, and always having the "best lawn on the block". His fishing buddies will surely miss the fishing trips and all the good times they had. Rest In Peace. We will think of you as just "gone fishing". Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 26th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway.
