About | BONNIE LOUISE ARCHIBALD (nee PARKER) July 7, 1953 - August 19, 2017 Sadly, we lost a great lady on Saturday, August 19, 2017. Cancer could not extinguish her remarkable grace and fortitude during her illness. Besides her husband Alister (Al), of 42 years, Bonnie leaves behind many family and friends who truly loved her. Sisters: Pat Watkins, Veronica (Bond) Ringoi and Debbie (Rick) Stone; brother: Michael Parker; nieces: Kim (Paul) Pellissier and Nomeca (Sam) Trachilis; nephews: Jim Watkins (Linda Kohut), Jaret (Lynn) Nault and Gavin Stone (Jaclyn Millett); great nieces and nephews: Zoe and Silas Trachilis, Megan Pellissier, Duke and Mack Nault and Jack Watkins, and her in-laws: Isabel and Peter Archibald. Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, Orville and Mary Parker. Bonnie worked at the University of Winnipeg (1975 to 1997) and Vancouver General Hospital (2000 to 2012). She remained close with many of her former workmates. She and Al were fortunate to travel much of the world together as well as enjoy warm winters in Kona, Hawaii. Bonnie enjoyed reading, gaming, Bomber and Jet games and going for long walks. She was a strong, loving and caring wife, aunt, godmother and friend that was taken from us far too soon. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, October 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Special thanks to members of the Hanaway family for their extraordinary love and support during Bonnie's illness - Wally, Gary, Lucy (Stanick), Jo-Anne, Jordan, Becky - they were all truly there for Bonnie when it counted the most. Nomeca Trachilis, Gavin and Debbie Stone were a constant comfort to Bonnie. To the special people that work in Home Care, CancerCare and in the East Wing 6th floor of St. Boniface Hospital - we owe a great debt of gratitude.
