Graduation Year Class of 1961
Date of Passing Jan 27, 2000
About DENA McCAUGHAN After a brave and courageous battle, Dena passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on January 27, 2000 at Riverview Health Centre. Dena will be lovingly remembered by her mother Ann Kissenko; knight in shining armor, companion and devoted friend, Vic Darowski; her daughter Angie Mazur (Gary), her son Brent McCaughan (Gerri) her grandchildren, Cassidy, Cody, Tianna; and her special friends, Donna, Peter and Carol, Brendan and Conner and Lolita. Dena was predeceased by her father Michael Kissenko. Dena was born and raised in Winnipeg where she devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. Mom was able to keep her wit and humour until the end. God looked upon His garden and found an empty space Then He looked down upon the Earth and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest Gods garden must be beautiful for He only takes the best. God saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb He closed your weary eyes and whispered, Peace to Thine. A golden heart stopped beating Hard working hands to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. It broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone For part of us went with you To Gods garden, your new home. Denas family would like to thank Dr. Mark Kristjanson, Dr. Mar, V.O.Ns. Val and Julie, and all the staff of Riverview Health Centre 3 East. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba (100 Olivia St., R3E 9Z9). A celebration of Denas life will take place on Monday, January 31 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. with Fr. Sam Argenziano officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
