About DONALD ARTHUR PRIMEAU 1944 - 2010 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Don Primeau on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Health Sciences Centre. Don was born in Winnipeg, MB to Jim and Ruth Primeau (nee Gottfred) on May 20, 1944, the second of five children. He grew up in the north end attending Robertson, Andrew Mynarski and Sisler High School. Furthering his education, he graduated in 1974 with a law degree from the University of Manitoba. Don was admitted to the Manitoba Bar in 1975. He was a former managing partner of Pitblado LLP from 1995 to 2000. He was a senior member of the firm's litigation and labour and employment practice areas. Don was a friend to everyone he met. He was highly respected in the legal community as well as in his personal life. His favourite time was spent with his cherished Stephanie and Pearl at the family cottage at Falcon Lake, fishing and golfing with his buddies. Don enjoyed the outdoors hunting, skiing and appreciating nature. He was especially passionate about supporting the Jets and Bombers. He also relished a good discussion around the kitchen table and loved to have the last word. Don was predeceased by his father, Jim, in 1995 and his beloved wife, Marianne, in 2004. He is survived by his children Stephanie, Jay (Michelle) and Tara (Clay); his mother, Ruth; sister Judy; brothers Ken, Bill and Bob; his faithful companion Pearl and his treasured friend, Eleanor Saluk. Friends appreciated Don's sensitive and loving nature which was epitomized by this quote he was fond of using: Good friends are like stars - you might not see them but you know that they are always there. A celebration of Don's life will be held on Saturday, August 7 at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst or CancerCare, 0 Block - 409 Tache, St. Boniface. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
