About	AL HOLT Beloved husband, lover and best friend to his wife Peggy, Al died after a brief illness March 11, 2000 at the age of 56. Als transition to his next great adventure was achieved with grace and dignity with his loved ones, family and friends wishing him a safe journey. Al was summoned by the Grand Architect of the Universe to sit at his side and to join his friend Ron to ride together in the Heavens above. Al was a Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, the Khartum Shrine and the Ruff Riders. Besides his family of Masonic brothers, Al leaves his mother Joyce; brother Garry (Betty) and son Luke (Sheila) grandchildren, Amanda and Lukas as well as nieces and nephews. "Uncle Al" was cherished as a vital member of Pegs family and will be missed greatly by all who had the privilege to see his sparkling eyes, his infectious laugh and his unselfish love for all. A heart of gold stopped beating, Hard working hands went to rest, God took you home to prove to us, He only takes the best. Heartaches in this world are many, But losing you was worse than any. It will be lonely here without you, We will miss you more each day. Since youve been called away, We will always remember the way you looked, The way you walked and smiled. All the things you did for us, Will be with us all the while, You always did your best, Your heart was true and tender, You lived your life for those you loved, And those you loved will remember. A special thank you to his guardian angels Barb and Larissa. Visitation will be held on Monday March 13, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday March 14, at 3:00 p.m., also at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. In addition, Als lodge will provide a Masonic Service. Regalia may be worn. A reception will be held following the service at the Masonic Memorial Temple, 420 Corydon Ave., hosted by Fort Garry Lodge # 130. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, Man., R2L 1X3, or Variety Club, 611 Wellington Cres., Winnipeg, Man., R3M 0A7.
