About	SHARON (REY) KRECSY It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Sharon Krecsy on Thursday, March 26, 2020, with her children by her side. Sharon will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children, Joanna (Brian) and Evan (Amber), her grandchildren, Nolan, Tyler, Mackenzie and Leira, her sister Cheryl (Ron), niece, Michelle, and nephews, Devin and Alex. She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick, and her mother and father, May and Nick Rey. Born in Winnipeg, Sharon graduated from Sisler High School and went on to pursue a career in education. While in university, Sharon met and married Pat in 1972. Sharon and Pat were overjoyed when they became parents to Joanna and Evan years after spending time travelling and teaching in various places together. Family always came first with Sharon; she was very involved in Joanna's rhythmic gymnastics career, as a judge, and in Evan's competitive swimming, as an official. Once her children were married and had children of their own, she was always eager to spend time with her grandkids by having them for sleepovers. They have fond memories of watching movies, going to the zoo and playing at the park together. For anyone who knew Sharon, they would know that she had a passion for nature, she loved to cook, read, watch sports, and visit with her friends and family. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Health Sciences Centre MICU for the week of care and comfort provided. A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at a later date, please check for updates. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Diabetes Canada or Winnipeg Humane Society.
