About | LILLIAN MITCHELL Peacefully with her loving family by her side, Lillian Mitchell passed away on June 19, 2002. Lillian was born in Wellwood, MB, on February 23, 1910. She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Moffatt; sisters, Delia Gunn, Muriel Alton and Joyce Williams; and brother W. D. Bert Moffatt in a plane crash in the Second World War; also by her devoted husband Don Robertson; and by her lifelong friend Margaret (Bullard) Fick. As she was a semi-invalid, she enjoyed the TLC of her daughters Maxine Mardell and Sandra and Bernard OConnor and her son Jim and Carol. She leaves to mourn her family, her brother Byron and wife Marguerite Moffatt; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins. She enjoyed teaching and retired from Sisler High after 33 years in the profession. She was a member of the Charleswood United Church. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Lillians memory may be made to the Seven Oaks Hospital or to a charity of your choice. Special thanks go to Dr. Haligowski and nurses of Seven Oaks Hospital, also to the Home Care people. At Lillians request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Sunday, August 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., and will be conducted by Lillians cousin Rev.
