About DARLENE ALFREDA MARCH July 8, 1941 - July 3, 2005 Darlene passed away peacefully on July 3, 2005. She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Margaret Priebe. Darlene is survived by her husband of 42 years, Carl March; children, Chris March and Wendy Zdebiak; son-in-law Rod Zdebiak; sister Dianne March; niece and nephew, Kathy March and Bruce March; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Darlene took her education at Sisler High School and received her B.A. at the University of Manitoba as well as her R.N. and B.N. at the University of Manitoba School of Nursing. While attending school, Darlene worked a number of interesting office jobs. Her nursing career spanned 15 years, first with VON, then with WRHA. During her working years as a nurse, she enjoyed caring for people in East Kildonan, and her coworkers were a joy to her as she exercised her wacky sense of humour on them. She was baptized, confirmed and married at Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed the move to Epiphany Lutheran Church in July 1974. Darlene laughed easily, cried easily and lived life to the fullest. She was an incredibly fun person and brought joy to all with whom she came into contact. Our thanks to Dr. Fouad, Dr. Krepart, Dr. Bard, Dr. L. DaSilva, Dr. Horvath, and Dr. J. Shadd as well as the Community Health Nurses, Pat and Pam and to all of the caring staff at Riverview Health Care Centre on East Wing. Cremation has occurred followed by immediate family interment at Brookside Cemetery. A celebration of Darlene's life will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 200 Dalhousie Dr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darlene's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, Lutheran World Relief, Epiphany Lutheran Church or other charity of choice. It is well with my soul . CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
