Graduation Year Class of 1973
Date of Passing Mar 16, 2006
About WESLEY JOHN HUTA It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wesley, who passed away after a brief illness at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon, on March 16, 2006 with family by his side. Wesley was born in Winnipeg on September 26, 1955. He attended Faraday, Margaret Scott, Sir Isaac Newton and Sisler High School. After completion of high school he attended Red River Community College, successfully completing a chef's course. He worked at numerable places including Falcon Lake, Blue and Gold Room, Ramada Inn and with Saskatoon Health Region. He was also employed at Purolator in Winnipeg for 19 years. In 2001 he ventured to Fairmont BC and then settling in Saskatoon. During his younger years he was very active in many sports organizations. He was past president of West Kildonan Curling Club where he was instrumental in organizing the Crazy Bonspiel . He had many fond memories of the curling club and it's members. He enjoyed many family trips as well as trips with his friends, traveling to Disneyworld, Las Vegas and Hawaii and many other places. Those of us who knew Wesley saw an independent, fun loving, family orientated man. He lived each day to the fullest often saying; Hi Sis You know what I mean , Dad, don't worry about me, I'm fine , and Hi Cuz . He often had a witty response and a carefree attitude. A fond memory we have was one day when it was raining heavily and he came home from school with dry clothes. Mom asked how come his clothes were dry and his reply was Mommy I was walking between the rain drops. Wesley has left to mourn; his father John, sister Sonya, brother-in-law Vern, two nieces Breanne (Garett Beres), Darla (Taylor Lang) and nephew Scott, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, March 21, at 7:00 p.m. at the Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, at 10:00 a.m. also at Glen Eden, with celebrants Reverend Dr. Jaroslav Buciora and Very Reverend Father Michael Skrumeda. Interment and reception will follow. Flowers are gratefully declined, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Hospital Intensive Care Nurses Education Fund, 1702, 20th St. W. Saskatoon, SK, S7M 0Z9. God looked around his garden And found an empty space; He then looked down upon this earth And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest; God's garden must be beautiful He only takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew you might never Get well upon this earth again. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb, So he closed your weary eyelids And whispered, Peace be thine. It broke our hearts to lose you, But you never went alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. Eternal Remembrance Vichnaya Pamyat Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Eden Funeral Home 4477 Main St. 338-7111
