About LINDA MAUREEN HARRISON
28 May 1948 - 21 June 2019

Linda passed away unexpectedly at the family cabin on Eagle Lake, ON with her loving husband Ron at her side.
She is survived by daughters, Karyn (Dwayne) Ray and Sheryl-Rae (Stuart) McGie; grandchildren, Keira and Cailin McGie, Amberly (Matt) Robinson and their children, Moss and Noelle; sister Donna (Al) Hartle; brother Jim (Jean) Hartle and their children, Paige and Cole. Linda was predeceased by brother Doug and parents, George and Frances Hartle.
Interment was at a family service in Stettler, AB, August 10, 2019.
From Winnipeg, Linda attended Sisler High School, Tec Voc vocational, and was active in the Northwood girls marching unit, and CGIT and choir in church. Linda later completed the business program at Lethbridge Community College then the CGA program at SAIT. Linda was active in Job's Daughters, Order of the Eastern Star, and Daughters of the Nile, and was the past Queen of IRAS Chapter #4.
Marrying on February 17, 1968, Ron and Linda drove from Winnipeg to Fort Smith, NWT. Ron's employment took them to Fort Smith, NWT, The Pas, MB, Thunder Bay, ON, Lethbridge, AB, and Calgary, where, in each, Linda created a home.
In Thunder Bay, she assumed the role of bookkeeper with Chimo Building Products, then in Lethbridge and Calgary she was employed as an accountant with Time Air, Canadian Airlines, Jazz, Air Canada, and retired as a CGA from Canadream in 2015. Upon retirement, Linda joined the Ogden 55+ Seniors enjoying their many groups and dinner dances. When granddaughters, Keira and Cailin arrived, Linda got involved with the girl's activities and vowed they would learn to swim. Swimming days became 'Grandma Days' since Linda would drive the girls and watch their progress with unrelenting pride. She had a generous heart; often hosting guests with pleasure, always with a bowl of nuts and bolts ready.
Camp... their special place. The Harrison's developed a cottage on Eagle Lake, near Vermilion Bay, ON, where they met friends and family from afar. In 2019, following vacation time with family during the preceding days, it was from the Camp that Linda was called to the Lord's house on June 21, 2019.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019, 1:30 p.m. at Ogden House Seniors Club, 2102 - 69 Ave. S.E., Calgary, AB.
