ED TWOREK Peacefully with his family by his side, Ed Tworek, aged 64 years, of St. Andrews, MB, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on July 27, 2018. He will be lovingly missed by his wife Carol; his two sons, Matthew (Georgia), Jared (Jessie); and daughter Hailey (Niko). Also left to honour and remember him are his brothers, Ted (Gracia), and Peter (Gary); sisters, Christine, Barbara (Scott), Margaret (Dave), and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Stanley, mother Kay, and brother Jerry. Ed was from Winnipeg and grew up in the North End where he attended Sisler High. After high school he worked at Safeway and then joined the Winnipeg Fire Department where he had a fulfilling career as a firefighter for 28 years. Ed had many hobbies throughout his life. Summers were filled with camping trips with his family, fishing for Master Anglers in the Whiteshell, and running his much-loved hot dog cart. But mostly, he loved watching his kids play sports. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB.
