About	RICHARD GORDON MCGHEE 1943 - 2007 Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Richard passed away with his family at his side on Tuesday, December 4, 2007. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Shirley, his mother Nettie, daughter Kathy, and sons David, Daniel, Brian (Barbara) and grandchildren Ryley, Bryanna, Jordyn and Kyleigha; son Kelly Barton; sister Brenda and her children Shelley and Jamie (Carla); brother Ron (Terri) and their children Kevin (Judy) and Melanie (Sean) as well as his Aunt Mary, extended family Bob (Karen) and their children Kyle, Cory, Cody, Kelly; numerous cousins and many friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy, his father Harold and brother-in-law Bob. Born and raised in the North End, Rich attended Sisler High School. In his early years, Rich was employed with Duffy's Taxi. He then became self-employed and owned R.G.M. Construction. He took great pride in his work which is reflected in all the homes of his family and friends. Rich loved the outdoors and looked forward to his many hunting and fishing trips, and enjoyed reminiscing about the camping trips with his family. He also enjoyed playing pool. One of his favourite pastimes was going to garage sales and everyone looked forward to his annual garage sale in June where he had everything from nuts to bolts and even the kitchen sink . Springtime became his favourite time of year.up went the garage door everyday and neighbours dropped by to chat about the events of the day or ask his advice on their latest projects. Thank you to SICU and the staff on GA-5 at Health Sciences Centre for the care he received over the past months. The family would like to thank his neighbours and long-time friend Eva for their friendship, kindness and generosity in our time of need. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Rich's life will take place for family and friends on Sunday, December 9, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel, 1445 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
