About	Ivan Christian Benedict Foss, 69, of Avon, CT, passed away peacefully at St. Francis Hospital, Thursday, March 29, 2012, with his family at his bedside. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the son of Ivan and Ragna Foss. As a young man, he obtained his Bachelor's in Engineering and an MBA. He went on to travel the world in his early career. He then settled in the United States where he raised his family. In his later years, he was a salesman at several Connecticut car dealerships. Ivan enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting, fishing and boating with his children and friends. As he settled into retirement, he developed a love of gardening. He is survived by his three children, Laura, Paul and Andrew; his daughter-in-law, Kathy Sellitti; his grandchildren, Ella and Teya; his ex-wife, Catherine; his sisters and their spouses, Sharon and Rick Fletcher and Sonya and Bob Olien in Canada; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Larry Foss. Friends are invited to visit with his children, Monday, April 2, 2012, at 125 Farmington Chase, Farmington, CT from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Contributions may be sent to St. Francis Hospital Foundation, 95 Woodland St., Hartford, CT 06105 in his name.
