About | PATRICIA OUELLETTE November 30, 1958 – May 30, 2020 It is with great sadness, that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Ouellette at her home, surrounded by family on May 30, 2020. She was predeceased by her son John Paul and her parents, Joseph and Anne (Kukura) Leniuk. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Bob and children, Marc, Luc (Gabrielle), and Elise (Travis). Also left to mourn are her sister Joanne Malenko (Allan) and many relatives and friends in Winnipeg and across Canada. The family would like to thank Margo Smith and the radiologists, the medical staff at Health Sciences Centre, and Patti's close friends who provided care and comfort throughout her journey. A small private funeral service was held at Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, officiated by Msgr. Maurice Comeault. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Patti's memory to Cancer Care Manitoba. As published in Winnipeg Free Press on Aug 01, 2020 PATRICIA OUELLETTE (LENIUK) November 30, 1958 - May 30, 2020 On September 13, 2020, a Celebration of Life was held for Patricia. Family and friends gathered to share wonderful memories of her incredible life. Patricia faced many challenges throughout her life, never complained and always had a smile. She attended Immaculate Heart of Mary School, Lansdowne, Andrew Mynarski and graduated from Sisler High School. In 1978 Patricia graduated from St. Boniface School of Nursing, working in various positions including St. Boniface Hospital, V.O.N., home care and Central Intake. Despite her health issues, Patricia had a long and successful nursing career. Her passions included her faith, family, travel, Ukrainian dancing and singing. Patricia danced with Rusalka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble for over a decade, the highlight being performing for, and meeting, Pope John Paul II in Italy in 1982. She travelled through Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, Europe, U.S.A. and Canada. "Musicians play me a fast dance.
