About PATRICIA JEAN DEANS

It is with much sadness and dismay that we announce the passing of our mother and sister Patricia Jean Deans, aged 74, of Winnipeg, Manitoba at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. Pat passed on December 17, 2020, after a short battle with cancer.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Dan Krasnowski (Lorelei), Jayson Krasnowski (Petrina); her brother Kerry Deans (Madeleine), dear friend Liz Campbell, and by everyone she connected with and created friendships with over the years.
Pat was born on January 27, 1946. She lived on Magnus Avenue in the North End and attended Shaugnessy and Sisler schools. She had her mother for a teacher in grade four. Her grandparents, Stuart and Adelaide Comba, had a cottage in Killarney Lake, Manitoba. She was able to prowl the sand every year with her friends and brothers as the whole family would spend the summer at the cottage. Pat was a cheerleader and baton twirler. She danced from an early age and was fortunate enough to travel and even earn a living from this pursuit. She was a member of the Valley Beaus and Belles on Red River Jamboree on CBC in the early sixties and also Swing Ding in 1965. Her love of dance lasted her whole life but she also learned to bowl and play bridge and other games. She didn't even care how many pins were staring her down from the end of the alley. She bowled in both five and ten pin leagues. Pat began her working life with the phone company as a phone operator. She moved on to the accounting offices of Federated Co-Operatives in Winnipeg when she had dished out all the Winnipeg phone numbers. She managed Willow Park East Housing Co-op in Winnipeg for about 30 years before retiring in 1999. Pat stayed busy with her many leagues, the odd shopping trip south or to the Casino. She was an important part of her mother's life as a daughter, friend and care giver for so many years.
Pat was predeceased by her mother Jean Deans in 2017, her father Albert Deans in 1990; brothers, Rodger in 1973 and Gerry in 1969. Pat had a wonderful spirit, was strong, loving, kind hearted and always smiling and laughing. She will be missed by her many friends and coworkers, her fellow bowlers, bridge ladies and her Magnus girls.
Her request was to be cremated with no formal service.
Donations may be made in her memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
Mom and Sis,
your journey has begun where your
mom will be waiting to greet you
