About	JAMES ANDREW FERGUSON It is with great sorrow that the family of James (Jim) Andrew Ferguson announce his passing on Monday March 6, 2017 at the Chilliwack Hospital in B.C. Jim will be deeply missed by his wife Patti-Marie of nearly 30 years; brothers, Wayne Allan and Gregory Arthur; mother-in-law Carol; in-laws, Ken (Treva), Gary (Cheryl), Heather and many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Jim was a very loving, caring person and oh so helpful to family and friends. Jim was predeceased by his parents Robert A. (Lola M.) (Waddell) Ferguson and father-in-law Ernie. Jim was born 69 years ago in the fall at Winnipeg. Jim grew up in the North End attending Shaughnessy Park School, Sisler High School and then graduating in commerce from MIT. In the spring of 1969 Jim coined the name "Nomads" for the North Winnipeg Nomads Football Club that still exists today. Jim coached out of Northwood Community Centre where in 1969 he lead a 14 year old team to the City Six Man Championship. Those core players from 1969 helped the Nomads win their first Provincial Bantam and Western Canadian Bantam Championship in 1970. Upon graduating MIT Jim was hired by Zellers as a store manager with stops in Thunder Bay, Scarborough, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Surrey and Chilliwack. Jim left Zellers and joined McLeods and eventually left to start his own business, a restaurant called Burger Fixins. It was here that Jim met the love of his life Patti and were wed May 23, 1987. Together they opened another restaurant in Kitimat and eventually closed it settling in Hope. Jim started a new career once in Hope with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure for the Province of British Columbia where he was still currently employed. The family is immensely grateful for the attentive and compassionate care provided by the staff of the Chilliwack Hospital, ICU. We wish to thank Dr. Ballard, Dr. Graham, and especially nurses Chesley and Dianna for their commitment to Jim's well being. In accordance with Jim's wishes there will be no funeral and Jim has been laid to rest. Those who so wish may make a donation to a charity of your choice or to the Heart or Lung Association or North Winnipeg Nomads Football Club.
