Steven Alan Porter attended Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery, AL.

Steve was a loving and brilliant classmate who passed away in Tampa this past week. He was a fighter pilot of F-14's and F-16's and instructed many pilots during his years in the USAF.
He also served during the Gulf War in Iraq. His most comfortable place to be was in the cockpit and flying at 9g's! He worked for Hillsborough County Emergency Management for many years in charge of hurricane preparedness for the largest county in Florida. He will be missed by many and survived by sisters Debbie and Teresa and Dr. Ron, his brother.
He also leaves behind a wife, Jennifer, and two adult children, Erin and Brian.
