Sig Hansen (class of '84) and his brothers Edgar and Norman have become celebrities on the hit TV reality show Deadliest Catch as seen on the Discovery Channel. They are highly successful crab fishermen in one of the deadliest occupations imaginable. The narrator of the show labels Captain Sig as the "Norwegian Heavy Hitter" and it is unbelievable just how much these guys endure. Sig's popularity around the country continues to grow and he and Edgar have been on numerous shows including the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and many others. This year Sig has been given the honor of becoming the Grand Marshal of the Seafair Parade. Sig Hansen should definitely be included on the SW Alumni Wall of Fame.
